Galloway Country Fair with Abby 🐾🏆

This year has been a busy one with work, and if I’m honest, I haven’t had as much time as I would have liked to get out and do things with my own dogs.

And then there’s Abby… who decided to be in season for most of the working test season! 🤦‍♀️😂 Yep, the joys of owning a bitch!

But we finally managed to make some time and headed down to the Borders for an awesome weekend at the Galloway Country Fair.

Abby competed in the Open Spaniel Working Test on the Saturday, and what a performance she gave!

🏆 4th place – Open Spaniel Working Test🎯 94 points, with 1st place on 99 points.

And then on Sunday, she was back for the Scurry — and it was an incredibly close race!

🥈 2nd place in the Scurry, missing out on 1st by just 0.1 of a second! 😱🐾

That really was a close one!

But above all the placings and points, I am extremely proud of Abby. She went out there and gave it her absolute best shot, and that is what matters most to me. ❤️

After such a busy year, it was brilliant to get back out there, spend some proper time working with her and just enjoy being a team again.

Now the plan is to get Abby ready for the shooting season, where hopefully we can spend a few days out beating and doing what she loves.

We won't be trialling this year with Abby, but that doesn't mean we're sitting at home! 😂

We're going to have an awesome time at the shoots, enjoy the season and make the most of every opportunity to work together.

Sometimes it's not about chasing the next result — it's about enjoying your dog, doing what they were bred to do and making some great memories along the way. 🐾❤️

Well done, my girl. I couldn't be prouder.
